Hi I’m Alice! I’m a 500+ RYT Senior Yoga Teacher with a Diploma in Yoga Therapy and a life long passion for women’s health. Alongside my Yoga certifications I’m a spiritual facilitator and Reiki Master & Trainer. I developed Full Circle Woman in 2019 after a long but rewarding journey reversing my own hormonal imbalances, painful & debilitating periods and irregular cycles. Addressing my hormonal health and aligning with my cycle improved every aspect of my life and made me happier, more fulfilled and stronger. I felt passionately about sharing this with my clients and making these simple but profound adjustments accessible.
At 23 my doctor had told me my blood tests indicated I would be unlikely to go on to naturally conceive – today I am the mother of two healthy children, spontaneously conceived and sustained 2 vibrant pregnancies from dedicating myself to practicing yoga effectively for my hormonal health, managing my lifestyle and nourishment well and engaging natural therapies whenever I need them.

In this lesson we’ll discuss how to make the most of the course. Answering the fundamental questions of how to properly track, chart and get to know your own cycle whether you are having a natural cycle, an irregular one, using hormonal contraception or trying to encourage your cycle to begin again. We will look at what disturbs the balance of the menstrual cycle and what considerations to take to clear the way for your natural flow to be undisturbed. We’ll finally briefly introduce the 4 phases, which like all things we work with at Macha Yoga, are deeply attuned to the seasonal flow of nature. Once you’ve oriented your self to your cycle, hop into the course in the appropriate phase for you!
The Menstrual Phase is usually a great place to start as it is considered the beginning of a fresh cycle. Like in Celtic tradition, the beginning of a new cycle of growth is the moment we chose to let go and shed what is complete. Throughout the lesson, rest and nourishment is key with a practice that helps to relieve discomfort and encourage the movement of the body to facilitate the release of this phase.
This Follicular Phase is all about growth, laying foundations and starting over. After the rest of the menstrual phase this lesson encourages you thinking about setting up the conditions to drop into good rhythm in this next cycle and prepare for healthy ovulation by giving the right energy and support to yourself.
This phase of the cycle is all about embracing your vibrancy and channelling your energy. Sensuality & strength meet in this phase and that blossoming of energy echoes into your contentment and well-being long beyond this cycle.
The Luteal Phase calls on us to embrace a sense of completion. A time that heralds frustration and upheaval when unacknowledged and promotes order, resolution and clarity when welcomed fully. This most profound phase of the cycle allows for us to initiate the changes that will allow for transformation and revealing your most whole and authentic self.
