A blend of two potent local plant medicines, renowned for their ability to bolster hope and courage, lift spirits and replenish.
A blend of St John’s Wort and Gorse uplifts, nourishes and restores. St John’s Wort with its sunshine yellow flowers is well known as an antidepressant taken orally, a shrub my own mother always recommended to stand beside if you felt sad! Gorse in Summer holds its rich seed in hard pods by high summer, which require the intensity of the sun’s heat or wildfire to “pop” and release. After the wildfires of my childhood scorched every tree on the Little Sugarloaf, the gorse grew back first and most powerfully, after being reseeded in the destruction.
This oil carries these two plant’s wisdom to the skin, enriching and revitalising you to be restored and renewed. The skin, so often overlooked when we consider how we engage with the plant world, welcomes the essence of these two powerful flowers.
