5 Minute Practice for Groggy Winter Mornings!
I can’t be the only one who’s been feeling especially “ugh” this week. It’s been dark, drizzly and between full moons and blue Monday’s, its a bit too heavy to spring out of bed. So here is my antidote to that. Specifically designed so you can keep your socks and your jammies on.
Side note: please ignore my bad choice in top 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I only realised after I was done.
1 🌟 Start standing in mountain pose, taking some nice full breaths. Take your hands wide as you breathe in and exhale as your hands touch and lower to your heart. Repeat as many times as you like.
2 🌟 Raise your hands over your head, touching palms together. Hug your lower abdominal muscles and take a breath in to reach your heart up and shoulders back. Exhale straighten up and repeat. As you next exhale bend you knees and fold forward.
3 🌟 Breathe in as you straighten your knees, bringing your body to 90degrees. Exhale return to forward fold. Repeat. On your last forward fold, bends your left knee and take your right arm up into the air, repeat on the other side.
4 🌟 Exhale to a forward fold and bend your knees deeply. Take an inhale and tuck your tail under as you lift your body and your arms up to Chair. Exhale and straighten your legs to Tall Mountain. Take a breath in and reach your heart up and your shoulders back. Exhale as you tuck your tail and bend your knees again to chair. Inhale there. Exhale and fold forward again. Repeat as many times as you like.
5 🌟 Cat/Cow it out and finish taking extended child/hare for a few moments.
